Music

For many years Kenny has also worked as a musician – performing, conducting, and composing. This has included appointments as the musical director of the Edinburgh University Jazz Orchestra (1988-1993) and as the conductor of the University of Plymouth Orchestra (1996-2000).

As a performer (pocket trumpet/trumpet with electronics, piano, prepared piano), he has played venues across the UK, including the Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh (solo), the Great Hall, Dartington (duo with Coach York), and the 100 Club, London (with the Edinburgh University Jazz Orchestra).
