Tangents was recorded in 1997 in Christchurch Studio, Bristol, with Kenny playing piano and trumpet (with electronics), Patrick Butterly on double bass, and Coach York on drums/percussion. The compositions vary from ‘new standards’, including a whole tone blues (Best Left Unsaid), and a modal track (The Confessional) to more abstract ‘free’ improvisations (Tangents).
